The chess training of the Erasmus+ project “CHED – Chess platform for deaf people” project (project number: 613577-EPP-1-2019-1-RO-SPO-SCP) is now available on the chess platform  in Sign Languages and in form of scenarios animation.

To develop the training, the Consortium worked hard during all the project lifetime to build the foundation and ensure the material’s quality. In fact, the courses are based on the topics and criteria of the curriculum and lists of skills, as well as on the analysis of the EU report of the access to sport and to chess for deaf people.

Besides, the international collaboration has also seen the one of the chess trainers from the countries part of the project, which confronted each other to develop the modules. These, as the curriculum and lists of skills, are divided in 4 levels: initiation, basic, intermediate and advanced. It has been followed a path, starting from the chess bases to arrive to the hardest strategies.

The training material meets the project objectives to promote inclusion of deaf people in chess and to increase their positive experiences also in sport. Another expected result is the use of training tools from chess trainers and associations. Because of that, the Consortium promoted the project at local and international level, also creating the EU project network of stakeholders.
